  • WWE has apparently flown in legends that worked with Hogan so expect this to be a partial tribute show.

Edit: So WWE continues their revisionist history claiming they brought Hulkamania to the world not AWA and despite all reporting claimed he died surrounded by family which is nicer than saying being worked on by paramedics but its revisionist because we have the news reports.

Other than the open I haven’t seen much tribute so far and not really any of his moves ether like when Hall passed.

They did another flashback video while I typed this to his title win.

Edit 2: I appreciate that Cody and Joe Tessitore have both pointed out Hogan is complicated, to say the least.

  • I don’t necessarily mourn the person, I do mourn the character, I mourn what that character meant for professional wrestling, Hulkamania catapulted wrestling into what we know today, helped bring about Mania, the nWo leads and the Monday Night Wars, that gets us the Attitude Era, which leads to wrestling being a cultural phenomenon we’ll likely never see again. I mourn that, I truly do.

Yet… Hogan made a career out of telling people to be moral All-American people, behind the scenes he was a union buster, complicit in a steroid scandal, held up others for his own gain, helped destroy a company he knew nothing about, turned out to be a racist and when he was finally allowed to return it’s reported he was telling people not he was sorry just don’t get caught on camera, his daughter quit talking to him because he only wanted a relationship on his terms, he went full Trump, all around he was not upholding the principles of Hulkamania. As a human I mostly find him distasteful, but not to go full on like some did today, Holy Beelzebub I dislike a some of you today even if I understand the sentiment.

  • Have B-B-B-** SLAP ** Buh Buh Ray do all the work, man that’ll be a reverse of the old Dudley Boyz. I kid, I kid… or not.

I can only assume appearances by some ECW people, Rhino and Dreamer are my guesses, because this is going to need to be overbooked with Matt and D’Von limited and Bubba and Jeff aren’t spring chickens.

I’m a little saddened by the fact WWE and TNA are together and that pretty much precludes an appearance of any kind from Edge and Christian, especially with D’Von retiring.

  • AEW is the size it is because it’s backed by a Billionaire, run by his Billionaire son, and they had contacts and knew people in the Media industry that got them the best foot in the door TV contract available for a wrestling company. TNA has a penny pinching media company in charge, cannot seem to find a TV deal outside their owned station, and regularly pisses off business partners… TNA, which I enjoy, isn’t going any fucking where close to AEW numbers short of Billionaire Ted’s ghost leaving them everything… and Ted ain’t dead.

Bischoff and Russo are about on par for the fucking crazy they spew.

As a side note, Ted Turner has a bad form of dementia even if he wanted to he couldn’t get back in the wrasslin’ business, it’s really sad.

  • Ok, I’m tired of the WWE-TNA relationship now, it’s entirely one sided, yeah it might bring eyes to TNA, but it’s making TNA and their workers look inferior when the TNA Title holders are NXT people. Maybe I’m just annoyed and will change my mind later, but damn do I not like this.

Edit: I’m glad AJ came out with a TNA theme song, I’m ok if he never uses it again, but maybe for his TNA HoF induction assuming they are still around when he’s ready to enter.
