Getting ready for my SD arriving… coming from switch I can’t believe I just got all these titles for 19 euros! 🤯 I think I’m gonna like steam 😍

Dishonoured 2 was 2.99! Half-Life 2 was 0.97€!

WTF buying a steam deck is actually going to SAVE me money 😅

That was one of my main points to move to SD, what I have saved in Steam deals at this point covered my Steam Deck purchase, compared to the prices in other platforms. A total win win

Do yourself a favor and grab the Half-Life or Valve Complete pack while it’s still on sale. You’ll want to play EP1 and 2 pretty much immediately after you’re done with HL2 :D

A couple of classics with nearly 20 years old, another near decade old good game, and a game and dlc so poorly received that they were on discount a couple of months after release. I mean, it’s cool that we can do that, but I don’t see the bargain anywhere…

https://isthereanydeal.com/ is your new best friend. Look up any game and it will list the historic and current prices at every official licensed key reseller.

Just make sure it’s a steam key you are buying, if that is what you want.

The fact that Nontendo pretty much never discounts their games is the reason I won’t buy a Switch despite wanting one. I would buy Zelda and nothing else because I don’t want to spend $60 for a game.

Just wait until you found out the deck can allegedly run most if not all switch games at 0 cost, according to a friend.

Far Cry 5 was a pretty good game, but you should be aware that there’s a couple of bugs with the controls. The first is one with the dead zone on the left stick; you’ll find your character slowly creeping forward even when the stick is centered and untouched.

The second causes one of the controller inputs to just not register at all–as in, it doesn’t even show up in the game’s own layout display in the options–when you get into a vehicle. Which means that all inputs tied to that button in a vehicle just don’t work.

I don’t know if you’ll have those issues on the Deck, but I do know that Ubi couldn’t be arsed to fix either of the issues even after years of complaints, so if they do come up, you’ll have to do a bit of digging around to find fixes (which, fortunately, do exist because I used them myself; if I could remember the process for either, I’d gladly share them).
