Holy! That price is insane and its range is really good for that price even with the CLTC inflation.
Niros are so much more expensive here than the Atto3 (almost 20K AUD) and I always considered it their base EV.

If this thing can match the Atto 3 price in Australia they are going to sell a ton (but would they make any profit?)

64.2kWh battery pack in the $20k version. That probably means 200 miles of real world range if you’re lucky. Even the 88kWh version is pretty competitively priced.

Ummm… My Kia Niro, which is about the same size as an EV 5, has a 64 kWh pack and the real world range is actually quite a bit better than 200 miles on a full charge. At 80% it still has around 200 miles of range even in cooler weather, no luck required. Jus’ sayin’.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! Too bad I already paid 2.5x as much for my Niro, but I love it anyways!

How are they making them so cheap? Is it taxes? If it comes to Europe does it automatically double in price? I feel that’s what’s happening to any EV that tries it.

Hmm. What other people call range, anxiety, I call getting to the big city. The long range vehicle would actually let me get to Vancouver from where I live.

Enough range to go to town for the day, have a nice dinner, do some shopping, then head back home.
