For anyone on 3.5.5 and using your Deck with an external display, how are you finding the VRR support? Just asking as I tried it with the preview build last week and it didn’t work.
I do think I’d get a lot more use out of my Deck if I can get this to work. There are a lot of older / indie games which the Deck can run mostly fine at 1080p, but with some dips under 60fps. VRR would smooth out those dips and mean I didn’t feel I have to use my desktop PC to play those games on a big screen.
I’ll edit this comment with my impressions once I have a chance to test it again.
it started freezing for me on some random action. run bloodstained -> quit -> says ‘stopping’ and does not react to buttons and can not run anything. sometime scrolling between tabs in library stats freezing for half a second.
so excited for this!
KDE broke on my deck with the update… apps tied to the color setting are stuck in light mode and the desktop mode splash is stuck with the KDE one instead of the set one.
is it finally out of beta?
“stable”
Microphone is broken, created an issue at Valve’s github
Any plans on the Fantastic plugin update? It doesn’t work on 3.5.5, the RPM sensor seems to be broken, shows constant value.
Is anyone getting stuck at 87% when applying? It’s really annoying, tried rebooting and stuff, nothing seems to fix this
Maybe clear space on your deck’s main SSD if it’s near full I had issues installing it too. it kept giving me an error till I moved some games I had on my SSD to my SD card then it downloaded properly like it should hope this helps!
