I had a 2001 bought it with 89k miles in 2019… I put a little work into it b it was sitting in a garage for a few decades barely driven. Then nothing but oil changes at 210k miles someone t boned me earlier this year

I had a '99 with the 3.0 v6 that didn’t look this clean, but i loved dearly. We had dubbed it the TactiCamry due to its faded Champagne paint (and we were in the army). V6 or not, this looks like a steal.

You got one hell of a deal!

My first car was a 1999 Camry LE V6 in that same green as yours.

I bought it in 2020 for $1,500 with 115k miles. It wasn’t perfect. The left fender and headlight was busted up. Right away, there was a serious power steering leak that I noticed the next day. Then camshaft seal leak that needed the water pump and timing belt removed in the process.

Aside from those leaks, which probably came from not being driven for a long time evidently but this vehicle drove like a dream. The paint was in mint condition virtually no clear coat damage! The interior was like new, it smelled like a new car. The doors felt sturdy not flimsy and light like newer cars, you could feel the build quality when you shut the door. The V6 engine was silky smooth and would accelerate good enough for daily driving without needing to go into higher rpms.

Driving my family’s Honda fit and brand new Nissan Versa made me appreciate this car even more. It felt like a downgrade driving most newer cars! Ultimately, what made me junk this car was a faulty knock sensor that wouldn’t fix even after paying the mechanic to install new sensors and months had passed after registration but emissions would not pass with the check engine light at 150k miles. Wish I could have kept it as my second car but had no space to hold it 🥲

That is a good deal. You got cool wheels and it looks like a XLE or SE verstion. Nicely done. Give it a lot of oil changes and call it a day.

My dad’s was a 1994 and it made it to 330k miles. Keep up with regular maintenance and you’ll get there.
