I’ve made a great decision to sell my 512 in August because of struggling with money (thanks to that I live in the “Not available in your country” I sold it for almost market price, so I was in all in all only around 60 bucks minus). Now I have enough money for purchase the 1TB version, my brain says that I shouldn’t do it as I played my previous SD not that often, but my heart is about to press the buy button in 7 hours

Yeah like, I got some extra money this month and I really don’t want to buy it, but I definitely can buy it. And I definitely want it. But I really don’t need it.

I need someone to take my cards away for me and help me save my money for the future or something. 😂

I can’t afford it. I lost 2 pets still Paying of their vet bills. No worries I’ll hold off until the actual new deck this is just a minor upgrade. My deck does what I need it to. Fomo will not get me this time !

I got the ROG Ally extreme as an anniversary present. Hubs asked for the steamdeck since I wasn’t playing with it anymore. Getting the OLED isn’t a deal breaker here. He just wanted to be able to game next to me in the den like we do on xbox.

I honestly a steam deck 2 or next gen or whatever is in the making. I’m gonna wait for that so I can turn the deck into a laptop pad essentially

I just love mine 1,5 year old LCD Steamdeck, don’t feel any urge to buy the OLED, why should I? I can play my favorite games on the move, on the couch and in bed.

Especially with the new 3.5.5 update the lcd screen is wonderful and more than satisfied with it.

There always be something newer, better or different, for now I stick with my old faithful SteamDeck.

I really can’t decide. I thought I was going to get the 512 for glossy OLED. However after seeing a video with someone comparing the old etched LCD, the reflections are quite bad on the glossy screen. I play in doors so may not be as much as a problem, but the reflections did seem off-putting. I then think, OK I will get the 1tb…but then wonder if the oled will loose a lot of its brightness. Damn mu brain is in a loop and it launches soon!

My thing is that I snagged a Valve Refurbished 512 gig a few days ago for 380 including tax. I just feel like for the price it’s too good to not keep and use until SD2. I’m around chargers most of the time and don’t travel much, so I think it’s probably perfect for me.

Just out of curiosity, can you see the OLED screen in the sunlight better? Because that’s been my only problem with my Deck in the six months since I got it. Everything else has been perfectly fine, even the power management.
