Still want one, with the crap Mercedes and BMW are pulling its easily the beat looking of the bunch and since it’s old you can still get it with a nice V8.

But not unless I have lottery money.

That’s because, as pretty as Maseratis are, they are shit cars, need constant attention and maintenance. Yet they don’t have the cache or exclusivity that ferrari or lambo have. They might as well be pretty (and cheap) paper weights

Am I the only one who doesn’t think they look good? Everyone I’ve talked to about one says they’re beautiful while I couldn’t care less for them.

100% true and real… My Maserati lost so much value over my ownership that it made more (tax) sense to donate it to a charity rather than sell (and I didn’t want the next buyer to have my phone number lol). My Porsche sold for exactly what I paid for it…

Been creeping Audi RS7’s as of late, they are dirt cheap for how much they went for.

It’s no secret all flagship luxury models depreciate like a rock. They are overcomplicated, over optioned, and way to expensive to maintain.

I recently offered someone 20k CAD for a 2013 QP GTS with a MSRP of like 150k. He considered it.

Being a fan of Maserati is like being a fan of the (current, I suppose) Ferrari F1 Team. The failures are miserable, but when they get it right, it’s the sweetest thing.

A used QP would probably make a fine DD for someone who knew what they were getting into and want something different than the average Bimmer or Merc. I can’t imagine any reason to buy a Ghibli over an Alfa Giulia. Especially the Quad, which is better than the QP even. The MC20 is the only one that could have some sense being bought brand new if you wanted a specific look and wanted an Italian sportscar that wasn’t a Ferrari or Lambo. Maserati is a weird brand. It can be fun to kick while it’s down, and they’re priced too high for their build quality and equipment levels, but they are a little different. But dumb people buy them for clout, and it’s helped sour the brand.
