They have not even began construction due to burocratic problems and farmers oposition.

Unió de Pagesos, l’Associació de Naturalistes de Girona i Salvem Vilablareix Rural ja han denunciat el procés al Síndic de Greuges i a la mateixa Comissió Territorial d’Urbanisme, per irregularitats

    Literal farmer’s league

I have friends with a vacation home there. I went to visit them and you can buy tickets to their games super cheap at the receptionist for the gym there, and can even take a stroll by the training grounds. We didn’t play a lick of golf though.

Girona is an extremely underappreciated and underhyped team. They’re leading La Liga and we’re heading into December soon. I don’t see nearly enough people and media outlets talking about them.

Honestly I’d be so excited to see a new team break into the upper crust in Spain (or anywhere in the world) but just like Leipzig, Newcastle, or City, it’s a bullshit rise fueled by financial injection. The players on Girona are doing a good job, full credit to them, but their rise can hardly be called organic.

Oh well, maybe Rayo can finally push into Europe instead of choking in March this season

And few City talents went there because Pep told them he’ll give them a chance in the future at City.

It’s a City feeder team basically.

There has never been a single Girona to City player promotion ever. It’s always the other way around where a City academy player or CFG affiliate club player gets sent to Girona for professional minutes before getting sold

Girona is a CFG affiliate player mill, not a City feeder team

Yes so don’t mind the hilariously Sunday league practice situation, they are not a fairy tale. They’ve spent 25 mil of infinite oil money!!!

What a bs they didn’t get that much money. Look at their players. Savio failed at psv. Blind was a benchwarmer and joined as a free agent etc etc.

      They’re just well run.

Sure buddy, lets believe in that, just like UEFA believes City passed the FPF by having injection of millions in marketing sponsorships from newly created companies.

As an Ajax fan, you should be ashamed of yourself, this is an example how teams outside of the top5 are being pushed further and further away from the top of the pyramid due to actions outside of the pitch.
