The OLED 1TB took the old 512GB’s spot at the top (excluding the Special Edition), no etched glass except on the top tier.

So the only reason I’m getting the 1 TB one is because I’m going for the limited version model (might as well go all-out for the “definitive” version of the first Steam Deck).

If the LE sells out before I can grab one then I’ll just grab the 512 GB since I plan to transplant the upgraded SSD I already have anyway.

Buy the 512gb and upgrade to a 2tb when on sale for $130. (You can find them on Aliexpress)

No. Not at all lol. Spend money on games or just save for an upgrade that’s worthwhile for performance.

Why do you need 1TB of space, just don’t keep so many games installed. If you actually filled that 1TB with games you would also be having to update them all constantly.

For the extra internal storage alone I’d say yes, and it comes with more than just that.

Compared to the prices of all other electronics and video game consoles hand held or not, this is a solid integrity move on Valve’s part. Could easily have been double the price. For reference, go look at Apple’s prices for the MacBook Pro, Air and iMac prices for the up graded storage alone.

This is a continuation of Valve making hardware into the future.

I think it is worth it and is the one I will go with. The price of a 1TB 2230 NVMe alone is really not much less than $100 and you get all of those other extra benefits with it as well.
