Cornell has a bad history of poor mental health. They have a super diverse set of students. And as much as any Ivy League, they have those generational admissions who are just angry white kids spoiled rotten by brilliant or wealthy parents. I’d take any threat at Cornell seriously, even though this reads as trolling, the far right will take advantage of any and every crisis to post hateful things.
It’s like in 2020 people showing their garage door spray painted with “ANTIFA” and “Joe Biden Rulez BLM” or something, it’s such a classic move to claim pro-Palestinians as antisemitic that it’s cliche. Though you’re right that it’s not impossible to be a legitimate threat so it’s good to be careful.
Omg right! Hundreds of those fucking false flag incidents or whatever they’re called, over the last few years.
This sounds like Andy’s character in the USA version of ‘The Office’ show.

“Later that day, droves of students marched around campus chanting 'From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free”, an age-old call for violence
Get fucked. Israelis say it too.
Bet you five bucks the online threats are made by far-right anti-Semite’s capitalizing on the fabric of hate.
I’ve never heard an Israeli say that in my life. I’ve lived in Israel for years.
Make no mistake, this is the result of the frenzy being whipped up by politicians all around the world. Those who call for a “ceasefire” after a terror attack and hostage taking and those who suggest blame lies with both sides are radicalizing people.
And supporting mass murder and genocide is what? The good side?
Mass murder and genocide is what occurred on October 7th, so no Hamas is not the good side.
Mass murder and genocide is what occurred on October 7th
And 8th october, 9th october, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th. It’s kinda funny you talk about how the world’s opinion radicalised people, but continue on to be genocide denial like some sort of r/lakelaogai fugitive.
Really? Antisemitism just sprung out of nowhere a couple weeks ago? And Israel hasn’t killed thousands of Palestinians for decades? What does the initial attack have to do with the ceasefire now? After 9/11, the US didn’t just carpet bomb the entire country of Afghanistan. Israel is engaging in collective punishment, killing nearly 8000 people already. Gaza is small and dense, there is no where for the people to leave. Calling for a ceasefire is the only humane thing to do.
Israel isn’t carpet bombing anywhere, I don’t know what false information you’re consuming but the reality is that Israel performs specific, highly targeted strikes in Gaza. Unfortunately civilians die in war, that’s a sad part of every conflict. Israel has given instructions to prevent Palestinian civilians from being caught up in their strikes, and Israel actually cares more about Palestinian civilians than Hamas. Hamas wouldn’t use civilians as human shields and operate out of hospitals and schools if they cared about civilian casualties.
“highly targeted attacks”
Your whole comment just says “nuh uh”.
Leftists are calling for a ceasefire, yeah. Feel radicalized? That means you moved to the ‘radical left’. ‘Extremists’ are the far right, and they mostly want Israel to do more genocide, yeah.
I certainly don’t want Israel to “do more genocide”, I want Israel to stop Hamas once and for all so that October 7th can never happen again. A ceasefire means Hamas will strengthen their positions and rearm for future attacks. The time to strike is now.
Frankly I’m a bit disappointed in Israel’s ability to fight a war without the frequent use of war crimes. Fighting hamas has displaced a million people, killed thousands of civilians, seen power and water shut off to the area, including to hospitals. Israel keeps releasing more justifications. I just saw Netanyahu go over a 3D rendering of a hospital explaining why bombing hospitals might be necessary because Hamas has tunneled underneath them 😮💨 which… Maybe? But there’s a better chance this is a pre-justification for more horrifyingly irresponsible war-planning.
And I believe there are diplomatic ways to remove Hamas from power. An engagement with the rights Palestinians desire would see them less desperate and less willing to support Hamas - 70% of Palestinians are unsupportive of Hamas’ attack, and 80% of Israelis are unhappy with Netanyahu’s response.
college kids collective intelligence has reached a new low
It’s not collective intelligence, it’s a couple of idiots. You don’t know they also attend. Grouping “college kids” together is stupid since they are there to educate themselves in the first place, something you could do with.
no, kids are idiots. it’s exactly what college-age folks would do. might even be a student at Cornell
They should send them somewhere to learn?
