At Providence Flea today on a rainy Sunday. Come check out the 80+ vendors, including ME!
That’s badass. I think we need to see close-ups of some of your favorite pieces too.

My two cents? How bout ‘Good Wood Goods’
So tell me, what do you do? It’s not quite clear to me…
Those are some very nice wooden bowls. And more!
Like for real. What kind of sealer do you use?
Thank you. I make wooden bowls and a few other things.
I mostly only use two finishes. Pure tung oil and a french polish of shellac and boiled linseed oil.
I’d say some decorative hangers would look a lot better than mismatched clamps/clips. Something akin to mantelpiece stocking hangers sized for your sign’s grommets.
Otherwise, it looks fantastic.
This might be a crazy thought, but hear me out: Make a nice wooden sign?
I dislike my sign. I need a better setup. So… I agree.
Very nice! I’ve been working towards making and selling small bags and other cloth goods in the next year. I’m happy with my patterns and the cost and time to produce them. Now I’m figuring out the business side of it and what local merchant events I could do. Got any tips or unexpected hurdles when you started?
Expect to just break even at first. Pricing is hard. Finding where you sell well is hard. Get an app and card reader like Square and enter your Venmo and Cash sales into it so you can track your sales over time. It takes a while to figure out what people will pay, where they look for stuff like yours and what seasons do best for you.
I appreciate that. I’ve thought of part of that, but tracking long term to figure out seasonal changes is a good idea.
