Canada should keep any tariffs/boycotts they’ve already established in place. Trump’s tariffs have been flipping on/off as if they’re light switches.
Seems we’re going to impose 25% export tariffs on power anyway, because just delaying a month isn’t good enough.
While we’re at it, we might just get a chance to literally punch Trump (jr) right in the fucking mouth.
I’m also pretty sure the Starlink contract is still being cancelled, and there’s a ban on future US contracts atm. Liquor stores have greatly reduced American inventory and encourage local products, travel to the US has dropped dramatically; and overall there’s a general ‘fuck America’ attitude in the air. It’s kind of refreshing.
Looks like we are. Fucker wants to flip/flop every 2 hours - go for it. We’re going to show how leadership works and what stability looks like. He wants to start acting like an adult we can create a new trade agreement, but it will never be e as open as it once was and we will continue to divest from a US centric trade arrangement.
Am canadian, don’t see myself stopping boycott of the US until Trump is gone. After that, I might still continue.
From Europe. That’s the thing. Even if the democrats win with a somewhat sensible candidate in 4 years it’s not like the US are to be trusted any time soon. Should we build bridges and rely on intelligence transfer, trade agreements, military cooperation etc just for them to leave us hanging again 4 years after that? A large part of the US clearly see us as adversaries or even enemies, not allies.

him and his friends are buying the stock market dips, it has nothing to do with anything other then him and his friends making more money, and maaaybe crashing the economy for Putin. He couldn’t care less if people buy local and large corporations feel pain. He’s gonna hand them enough tax breaks anyway, they’ll be fine.
And they should both keep their tariffs up until he stops this bullshit. Better yet, whenever he tries to reinstate them add another 25% onto it for each time he does it.
