Lebron via @uninterrupted
If I wasn’t the GOAT in basketball, what other sport I would be the GOAT in? Lacrosse. And I’d be a beast out on the field… I got pretty good accuracy when it comes to things.

He’s been rich for too long and lost touch
Bron as an LSM would be the most dominant lacrosse player ever
LSM, Attack, midfield…dude could play goalie and be fine. There’s literally nothing he couldn’t play at lacrosse and dominant
Imagine him playing attack and posting up
This was my first thought as well. Imagine going for a ground ball and a 6’8” house was coming up to body you for it.
Hearing LeBron discuss plays in depth sounds like a grand master discussing a succession of moves in chess. That would’ve been a funny assertion. And meanwhile he’s pumping iron in his chair waiting for his turn like Stallone in Over the Edge.
But… but he’s not the goat of basketball.
That was said about football hall of famer Jim Brown as well. He actually played both lacrosse and football in college. He went pro in football because it made more money, but the general consensus was that he was the potential GOAT in lacrosse if that we his career.
I think Lebron would have been the GOAT of football as a quarterback.
His IQ and vision would translate very well, he has one hell of an arm, and his combination of size and speed is beyond any quarterback.
Definitely not boxing. Dudes the biggest baby ever over any contact.
LeBron is a freak athlete that I’m sure he could’ve probably been great in any sport he played if he committed to it. I’d love to see a slimmed down LeBron play tennis tho. That’d be entertaining
LeCrosse
considering he’s not the goat of basketball, does this mean he’s the goat of lacrosse for real?
He’s putting himself in with Jim Brown and Da Bunk?
I feel like his “crown” won’t fit on his head if it gets any bigger
He can wear McCant’s tiara from Gil’s Arena.
I don’t know shit about Lacrosse but apparently Jim Brown (the NFL legend) is also seen as one of the Lacrosse GOATs. So maybe that is a sport where you can have some crossover like that.
There are also two types of Lacrosse: field and box.
Americans don’t play box, but generally speaking box lacrosse takes way more skill. It’s easy to transition from box to field and not vice versa. The best box players in history are guys you’ve probably never heard of.
That’s said, box lacrosse and basketball do actually share a lot in common. More than field at least.
Saying Box LaCrosse take more skill than field seems a poor take. It’s more fast paced for sure. I prefer field because I grew up playing field and don’t like playing on turf. I think it’s a personal preference.
An accurate comparison to is futsal vs football.
When you say “skill” are you referring to stick skills or overall athleticism?
Indoor definitley takes more skill than outdoor where outdoor your athleticism gets you pretty far.
That Chris hogan dude from the patriots found himself on a PLL roster after not playing lacrosse since college. That dude doesn’t survive on the bench in indoor.
Probably never heard of?
Are you talking about John Tavares, uncle of John Tavares?
Americans most certainly do play box. 100000X more fun than playing on a field.
Really? I enjoyed playing field more but played both for just under 8 years
I played mainly field all of my life. When I played box the first time it just felt so cool. Almost had a hockey feel to it. felt professional. living in the south, playing in AC is always a plus too.
I bet Wayne Gretzky is pretty good at lacrosse
Also Bunk Moreland. Prep boys used to pee their pants when they saw ol Bunk coming
I’m sure he could be, especially since most top athletes don’t go pro in sports that pay shit like Lacrosse.
To be fair, in Jim’s day they pretty much let you hug the cross to your chest (so ball doesn’t fall out) and Jim would then just truck stick everyone on his way to the cage.
It was very much a running back playing a finesse sport with none of the finesse. Dominance for sure though.
I mean he played by the rules of the game at the time.
How you going to criticize him for that?
He isn’t. But the rule has since changed which would make him less effective in the modern game.
It’s not criticism it’s pointing out that Jim Brown essentially played a completely different sport
He played chess while the others played checkers?
Some guys are so far behind, they think they’re in front
It’s less about the actual sport of lacrosse and more so the fact that the most talented athletes in the world are probably found in more popular sports like soccer, basketball, track, etc. so it’s probably just, in general, easier for a genetic and athletic freak like LeBron to just dominate a much less talented pool of competitors
The U.S. handball coach said at the 2016 Olympics that LeBron would be the best Handball player in the world with 6 months of training: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2657177-us-handball-coach-says-lebron-james-could-be-worlds-best-with-6-months-of-work
He’s an apex predator physical specimen and would’ve been great at pretty much any sport with proper training as a kid.
It takes a shit ton of football IQ to be a professional goalkeeper, in addition to the sort of agility that LeBron just does not have. Goalkeepers are like cats. He could be a great American football player at tight end tho.
I’d play him at QB. That’s where he’d have the most impact. He was also an all-state wide receiver in HS.
I want to see Wembanyama on the mound looking like the Beast Titan.
He would not be great at any sport. You need technique in sports, which is less taught. No one can shoot like Curry no matter what they did. Not a lot can pass line Xavi and he looks like an accountant. The US soccer team always had great athletes, that’s never been the problem. It’s the technique that separates.
Not to mention all the social and economic barriers to getting into lacrosse. The quality of athlete is going to be way lower when you exclude the demographic that makes up 73% of the NBA and 56% of the NFL despite huge societal disadvantages.
Imagine LeBron bodychecking some poor guy 8 inches shorter
