Benfica just flat out don’t play well everytime they play a good opponent. At some point you have to do something different or else your just going to get the same thing over and over again.
Take out mario, move rafa to the wing and bring in florentino, play 3 in the mid for a change and see if we can actually hold on to the ball for more than 2 passes.
This group had a push last year with the coming of a foreign coach. It was exciting and they responded accordingly. Home-owners like Rafa played like no tomorrow. We also had class in the midfield, providing long passes with an amazing vision on Enzo Fernandes. A Gonçalo Ramos in the right places. A Grimaldo on the time of his life, so much power offensively from him.
