A source within Google has told Android Authority that Google plans to basically turn Chrome OS into Android.

Been hearing about this for the past 10 years
Maybe this also means that they will finally force developers to actually provide a tablet/big screen layout if they want to be installable on tablets/laptops from the play store.
Combined with the new desktop and window features that are coming that could maybe turn Android tablets into something useful
Google ruining something good again…
“To compete with iPad” seems like a stretch
