I read it good while back, but I’m about to do a re-read, or maybe I’ll throw on the audiobook. Mostly curious if it would be wasted on the community to post things from it. It talks about a lot of behind the scenes stuff from 30 Rock and SNL.

I listened to the audio book around the same time. I remember enjoying it, too, but I also came away thinking Fey was a bit more like Liz Lemon than I would think-- a bit colder and harder than I’d expect.

Amy Pohler’s book, on the other hand, was a joy from beginning to end

I think it would be neat to have some relevant excerpts that you find interesting posted here!

I have not read it, but I did read the first chapter or so of The 30 Rock Book: Inside the Iconic Show, from Blerg to EGOT. I can’t remember all what problems I had with it other than how it seemed to go into far too much detail about Studio 60. But before continuing past that first chapter, I looked up some reviews of the book, and everyone was just trashing it. I decided it was not worth my time.

I’ll see if I can figure out the best way to share some good parts of it then.

I’m leaning toward the audiobook since Fey narrates it herself, so I may have to follow along in the ebook to grab some excerpts. (The post image is just a stock photo because I don’t have a physical copy haha).

I haven’t even heard of “The 30 Rock Book” but from those reviews, I think I’ll keep it that way.
