Starting from an 11x11 patch of ice in the middle of the ocean, my two colonists built this oil rig using rimefeller and deep drilling. They started by making money selling hydroponics drugs and then (lots of) chemfuel. Economically this scenario wasn’t a challenge but dealing with the cold and zero resources was.
I had to pretty much disable raids because they would always drop pod straight into my base, but the deep drills had to be defended against infestations.
One nice bonus of the tiny landmass is that the ground penetrating scanner only finds resources on “land”, which meant I could roleplay as a drilling platform and keep my deep drills in the central defended part.
Weirdly the biggest threat was flashstorms. Lost basically the whole base twice because EVERYTHING caught fire. I did load from autosaves for those :)
