I think the majority of people outside of big tech are “meh” on AI. It’s being advertised as the biggest thing ever made that will change everything when in reality it’s a specific tool for specific purposes. It’s been over a year since this hype train started and for the most part the majority of peoples lives have barely changed or stayed exactly the same. It definitely has its uses and I’m sure those types of functionalities will get better, but it’s not the “everything” technology that they are trying to sell everyone.
And if anything, Apple has been doing this the smart way by proceeding with caution and not putting all their eggs in one basket like Microsoft and Google.
If they don’t find revenue source in the next 18 months to justify the astronomical spending on “AI”, you would think there would be a correction.
Altman and all the other AI promoter goons knows this, that’s why they’re pushing a scifi AI type pitch to make as much money as possible while the iron is hot.
I just want a keyboard that works well. Apple has been letting me down there.
Hasn’t Apple allowed custom keyboards in recent years?
Yes but it’s kind of annoying to use a non default one. I’ve had a lot of issues with switching between keyboards
