I know i know i know, dallas construction is the worst and there’s plenty of jokes to be said. However, this is a genuine question specifically for this area. I know construction takes forever here but literally the part of highway going from richardson/north dallas into garland/mesquite has literally been under construction for over 11 years. I have never not seen work trucks and orange cones on that road. My question is, what are they trying to build? Is it to expand the highway (which would be a great idea), straighten it (even better) or is there anything else.

Thanks
