The article states this hasn’t been confirmed yet, but they’ve passed the major hurdles so it’s moving right along. It’s apart of a grant from the fed.
I want to see more connections between lines that are not in the loop…
I agree. Let’s keep trying to figure out how to make that a reality in addition to this.
I’m glad that it apparently isn’t adding more highway median stations. Those are horrible.
I’m really happy we secured the funding, but I really hope at least some of it goes towards building transit-oriented development around the new stations.
Many of the renders CTA have put out depict stations in lifeless neighborhoods that are mostly 4-lanr stroads and parking lots, which would really sap much of the potential value this project could provide.
