This book wrapping up all of the open ends in the story feels both very pleasant to read but also pretty sad on a deeper level. I really don’t want the main story to end but there needs to be a last chapter eventually or it’ll lose its greatness.

Rozemyne’s future plans for Alexandria must have been quite a shock to those nobles, bet they didn’t think the Saint of Yurgenschmidt is a Gremlin. Which brings me to wonder how fast books will spread now that she does not have borrowed authority but actual direct authority over the entire duchy. I’m afraid Ferdinand et al will have plenty of work making her reconsider book plans that would put the duchy’s vital industries (like farming) at risk.

Considering the kind of talk put out and encouraged by Detlinde and Georgine, I have a feeling it might well be the other way around with the Ahrensbach nobles finding out the gremlin of Ehrenfest is actually a saint… at least those not already indoctrinated by Hartmut and Clarissa anyway. ^^

You know thinking about it a bit more the nobles might be so shocked by Rozemyne’s brief moments of non-book obsession that they completely gloss over the rest and accept her as a genius.

After all when compared to someone who never did their job (well or at all) someone who does it well some of the time must seem like a gift from the heavens (Hartmut and Clarissa will make sure they take that part literally).

Has Quof or anyone at J-Novel said anything about the Hannelore spinn-off? It would be fantastic, if they’d start translating that right after the end of the main series.

Not to sound like a downer but another thing I’m gonna miss is prepub discussions. There is side stories, manga, and upcomming anime. But I’m not sure if they will garner the same type of discussion like with prepubs.

Out of curiosity do you know of any other lightnovels that is active like bookworm or is this more of a one of deal?

you’re not alone with that concern, it’s on my mind as well. As for your question I’d have to check over at !lightnovels@ani.social but my gut feeling says if we want another novel to discuss we’ll have to find it ourselves

Edit: luckily the way this instance is set up allows for a shift to other stories as well, so maybe this place can turn into a general book instance

I loved her description of the necklace that Ferdinand made, and wonder how he possibly had the time. He must have been planning/thinking about it for a little while, but everything is so very busy! It did leave me wondering if he also made one for the feystone he received. And I was reminded of the first time she was gifted a necklace, by Sylvester.

I kind of melted at the scene where he makes the teleportation circle in her new hidden room. Both that he embraces her, and that she insists that he come to her first meeting with her family. And the way he resists but melts. Awww. Though, I don’t blame him for being a little afraid to face Gunther!

I am super curious about Ferdinand’s plans for purging troublesome nobles of Ahrensbach…

I appreciated that Wilfried is squicked by her being engaged to Ferdinand after all. From his point of view, he absolutely should be, and it’s funny to see him kind of wrestling with the former fiancee that he totally didn’t want… going to someone else.

Surely with all this teasing we are getting a Damuel and Philine side story.

With Philine not having graduated yet, I’m sure we’ll hear a thing or two, or might even get side chapters from her in the Hannelore spinn-off. I’d still want one here too, but even if there isn’t, there’s still a chance later.

I hope someone’s going to have some oversight over Clarissa, when she works on the security shumil, otherwise they’ll probably end up with the things incorporating a voice modulator, that’ll be used to lecture any captured thieves about Rozemyne’s greatness and divinity until the Human guards take them off their hands. ^^

Busy chapters. Love them, but I think the next big event is the Archduke Conference. Can’t wait for that and meeting with Benno, I know Roz is freaking out but Benno got the heads up from Ferdi through the guards… I think.

I am super curious to hear from Benno as well. It’s been a long time since we got to look in on him, and of course all these changes have been huge. I suspect he’ll be much more comfortable in Alexandria than the Sovereignty though.
