I was really excited for Homeworld 3, but then silly devs had to add Denuvo.
I won’t touch that with a 10ft (3.048m) pole!
You can start poking it with your pole in a year or so – after it’s removed due to licensing fees not being worth it.
It’s not worth 60€ anyways in it’s current state.
It’s probably not gonna cost 60€ in a year anyways so that’s great for anyone that wants to play the game
I look forward to it!
I appreciate Mando’s take on the current state.
Agreed, though I think there’s more to salvage from the story than he’s giving it credit for.
Sounds like he hated the writing. Shame, that was a strong point in the series
His review of Homeworld Cataclysm (“Emergence”) made me buy the game just based on how he talked about the plot and tone.
The antagonist of Cataclysm is actually legitimately scary.
Well to be fair, only Cataclysm had decent writing. HW1 lived off its world building, but being a fresh setup it did a superb job with that.
Then HW2 mostly coasted on the success of HW1 in world building, bringing much of it down with its shallow design but eh, still good enougthe problem is that by now the world is known in large parts. Bow they need to bring in actual story, especially because we know from Cataclysm that they can do that.
It was a strong point of the original and Cataclysm…
There are like 12 credited writers for Homeworld 3.
Let that sink in.
Security blanket
Oh god my sides 🤣
Someone on Reddit said it beautifully: if you’re a bad writer, this game will make you feel better about yourself.
