Eh, that’s not exactly right. Defining acidity in terms of electrons is not the most common way of thinking about acid-base reactions, but if you want to go that route, Lewis acids are defined as being “electron acceptors,” so the meme isn’t wrong, it’s just a non-standard easy of phrasing things (as befits this community).

I teach chemistry also but had not thought about the possibility that they were refering to the protons that will react with nucleophile compound, thus “stealing” electrons.
I was thinking about the base that is left, and is perfectly contempt with the electron density around the acid site (and could to some extent also be a Lewis base).
But Lewis acids have nothing to do with lemons yet I see your point !
