So long partner…
Any recommended alternative?
Considering it’s basically just a script “frontend”: wireguard and its documentation.
Couldn’t agree more. Wireguard isn’t really hard once you understand the basics.
I’m sorry but wireguard is not easy for beginners and the quick QR code generator in the command line was fantastic and light years ahead of fumbling around with getting config files securely to a mobile device.
That script is a wrapper around a single call to qrencode. I’ve been making qr codes from wireguard config files in the terminal at least since PiVPN existed. There are plenty of guides on how to do this as well.
There’s a docker image called wg-easy I use with a nice web interface.
Thank you, I was using another wg image but this is much nicer :D
Hey, I tried to run this container but I can’t make it functional… Do I need to modify something else from my host (I am talking about fw).
I hope they get to release v4.6.1: “It doesn’t even matter”
How long are folks planning to wait before migrating to something new? I suspect this is still safe for at least a few months before things fall out of date, right?
Or I guess it allows wire guard to update freely so it’s probably safe until something specifically breaks.
although definitely not as configurable, I like the “set it and forget it” idea of DockoVPN
